Why one thing instead of everything
CompareGreen exists because the people who most want a battery — households that already have solar panels on the roof — are the worst served by the sites meant to help them.
Battery is treated as an afterthought everywhere else
On every large comparison site, battery storage is a sub-page underneath solar. The questions are solar questions, the installers are solar installers, and the battery gets mentioned somewhere near the end.
It is a different job with a different standard
Fitting a battery to an existing system means working with your consumer unit, your existing inverter and your meter. It has its own MCS certification and, from October 2026, its own chapter in the UK wiring regulations.
Around two million UK homes have solar and no battery
The UK passed two million solar installations in March 2026. Most of those households have no storage. They already understand the product and do not need a beginner’s guide to renewables — they need three sensible quotes.

What we are, and what we are not
We are an introduction service
You tell us about your property, we pass your details to up to three MCS-certified installers who cover your postcode. That is the whole product.
We are not an installer
We do not survey, fit, wire or commission anything. We have no engineers and no vans. Your contract is with the installer you choose, not with us.
We are paid by installers
They pay a fee when we pass on an enquiry. You are never charged, and the fee does not change what you are quoted.
We do not sell your data
Your details go to the installers we match you with and nobody else. Not to brokers, not to energy suppliers, not to anyone who bought a list.
We launched in 2026, and we would rather say so
Every comparison site you have used claims to be the trusted one. Most of them are a few years old and paid for by the same companies they recommend. We are newer than that and paid the same way, and pretending otherwise would be the fastest way to deserve your suspicion.
No borrowed credibility
You will not find review counts, star ratings or "trusted by thousands" anywhere on this site, because we have not earned them yet. When we have real customers we will quote real customers.
What we can be judged on now
The certification we check before an installer receives an enquiry, the fact that we tell you how we are paid before you fill anything in, and that we confirm your number so nobody rings you by accident.
